ATI (NYSE:ATI) Beats Q2 Estimates and Raises Full-Year Guidance

ATI INC (NYSE:ATI) reported second-quarter 2026 results that comfortably cleared analyst expectations on both the top and bottom lines, and shares were indicated sharply higher in pre-market trading. The specialty materials producer posted non-GAAP EPS of $1.23 on revenue of $1.261 billion, versus consensus estimates of $1.05 per share and $1.230 billion in revenue.

A decisive beat on earnings and revenue

The quarterly figures came in well above forecasts, with EPS exceeding the average analyst estimate by roughly 17% and revenue landing about 2.5% ahead of the consensus mark. The results also delivered a substantial improvement over the prior-year period:

  • GAAP diluted EPS rose 56% year-over-year
  • Net income attributable to ATI increased 50%
  • Adjusted EBITDA climbed 37%
  • Adjusted EBITDA margin expanded 440 basis points to 22.6%

The High Performance Materials & Components (HPMC) segment continues to lead the growth story. Demand for nickel-based superalloys, titanium, and advanced metallic powder alloys remains robust, particularly from aerospace and defense customers. The Advanced Alloys & Solutions (AA&S) segment also contributed, supported by firm demand across energy end markets.

Full-year outlook raised

Management said the company now expects to exceed the high end of its previously issued full-year guidance, citing sustained commercial strength and improved operational execution. The updated outlook compares with current consensus estimates of approximately $5.03 billion in full-year revenue and roughly $4.53 in EPS. The revised trajectory implies continued growth and further margin expansion for the remainder of 2026.

Market reaction

The pre-market response was positive, with the stock up about 7.3%. That move extends a strong recent stretch; shares have gained approximately 15.3% over the past week and 10.5% over the past month. The combination of a sizeable earnings beat, raised guidance, and wider margins appears to have bolstered confidence in the company's longer-term demand outlook.

However, the recent run-up also raises the bar. If aerospace supply chain constraints persist or raw material costs accelerate, the shares could face added volatility even with a supportive demand backdrop.
