American Realty Investors reports $1.0 million Q2 net loss

American Realty Investors (ARL) reported a net loss attributable to common shares of $1.0 million, or $0.06 per basic and diluted share, for the three months ended June 30, 2026. The company reported net income attributable to common shares of $2.8 million, or $0.18 per share, in the same period of 2025.

Revenue rose to $12.9 million from $12.2 million a year earlier, with increases from multifamily and commercial properties. Net operating loss was $2.5 million for the quarter, compared with $1.0 million in the prior-year period.

  • Total occupancy was 81% at June 30, 2026, including 93% at multifamily properties and 58% at commercial properties.
  • Alera, Bandera Ridge and Merano occupancy was 86%, 85% and 77%, respectively.
  • The company sold 21 lots at Windmill Farms for $1.0 million, resulting in a $0.8 million gain on sale.
  • For the six months ended June 30, 2026, total revenue was $25.2 million and net loss attributable to common shares was $1.6 million.
