Fund Description

The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in securities of companies principally engaged in the energy field, spanning conventional areas such as oil, gas, electricity, and coal, as well as newer sources including nuclear, geothermal, oil shale, and solar power. Targeted companies may include integrated oil firms; drilling contractors and rig owners; rig and equipment manufacturers; oil and gas services and supply providers; companies involved in exploration, production, refining, marketing, storage, or transportation; and coal producers and miners. It invests primarily in common stocks of domestic and foreign issuers, and may use derivatives included in the 80% policy. Investments are selected using fundamental analysis.
